Two tools, two moments
When it's time to propose times, you tell the agent your availability in plain language, and it composes a message with those specific windows or your booking link if you'd rather let the employer pick from that instead.
If you're replying to a scheduling email already in your inbox, it can thread the reply on a connected Gmail account; Outlook doesn't support threading here, so from an Outlook account it goes out as a new message instead. Either way, the full composed message shows on an approval card before it sends.
Once a specific time is actually confirmed, back and forth with the employer or a call you just got off, you can ask the agent to add it to your calendar. It needs the real details: title, start time, end time, and timezone, and it will ask you to confirm those if anything's ambiguous.
add_interview_to_calendar then creates that one event on your connected calendar. It can't edit a mistake into a correction or remove an event later; a fix means confirming the details again from scratch, and it also won't invite anyone else to the event unless you've put a joining link in the notes yourself.
From proposing times to a calendar entry
A recruiter asks when you're free for a call. You tell the agent: "send the recruiter my availability, Tuesday 2pm, Wednesday 10am, Thursday 4pm Central." It drafts a message with those three windows, addressed to the recruiter's email from the thread you're already in, and shows you an approval card with the full text before sending.
You approve, and it goes out from your own connected mailbox.
A day later the recruiter replies confirming Thursday at 4pm. You tell the agent: "add that to my calendar." It asks you to confirm the exact start and end time and your timezone since those weren't stated outright, then shows an approval card naming the calendar, the event title, and the confirmed start and end times.
Once you approve, add_interview_to_calendar creates that single event. If the time later changes again, you'd confirm the new details and ask for the entry again rather than expecting the agent to edit the old one in place, since editing isn't something this tool does.

What stays under your control
Both tools require your approval every time, and both are hard-coded so the system will never auto-approve them under any circumstance, including inside an automated run with no one present to confirm the details. Sending availability is bounded per hour and per day the same as any other outbound message; hit the limit and the agent tells you and offers to draft the text for you to send yourself.
The calendar tool is intentionally limited to adding: it cannot edit an event once created, cannot remove one, and cannot invite anyone else onto it unless a joining link you provided ends up in the notes field.
That's a deliberate ceiling, not a missing feature, since a tool that could quietly edit or cancel your calendar entries would need a different level of trust than one that only ever adds what you've confirmed. Neither tool can address a message to someone you've never corresponded with unless you supply that exact address yourself.
