Final-round interview — A final-round interview is the last interview stage before a company makes an offer decision. It's typically the most senior and comprehensive round a candidate faces, sometimes involving executives or leadership who haven't been part of the process until this point, and sometimes combining several shorter conversations into a single day, often called an onsite loop.
By the final round, most of the basic screening is done: the company already believes the candidate can do the job. What's left is usually a mix of confirming culture fit, resolving any lingering concerns from earlier rounds, and letting senior stakeholders who haven't met the candidate weigh in before a decision is made.
