Team members and roles

Intervieux employer accounts support an owner, set automatically for whoever creates the account, plus admin and member roles that can be invited by email, where owner and admin can manage billing, company settings, API keys, connected accounts, and the team itself, while member covers day-to-day pipeline work without those controls.

A hiring account with one login shared across a recruiting team is a liability the moment someone leaves or a password needs to change. Separate logins with distinct roles mean access can be granted, adjusted, or pulled for one person without touching anyone else's.

What it does

Whoever creates an Intervieux employer account becomes its owner automatically, a role that can't be reassigned or removed. From there, an owner or admin can invite additional teammates by email, choosing admin or member as their role.

Admin carries the same management ability as owner for everything except the account's own ownership, admins can invite and remove other teammates, change roles, update company settings and branding, manage API keys and connected apps, and handle billing. Member is scoped to working the pipeline itself, reviewing candidates, running interviews, managing jobs, without touching account-level settings.

How it works

  1. 1

The account starts with an owner

Whoever creates the employer account is set as owner automatically. That role is permanent for that account and cannot be transferred or reassigned to someone else.

  2. 2

Owner or admin invites a teammate

An invite goes out by email with a chosen role of admin or member. If the invited email already belongs to a member of that account, the invite is rejected rather than creating a duplicate.

  3. 3

The new member gets scoped access

A member can work inside the pipeline, jobs, and candidates, but doesn't see account settings, billing, API keys, or the team management screen itself.

  4. 4

    Roles can change later

An owner or admin can promote a member to admin or move an admin back to member as the team's needs change. The owner's own role is the one exception, it stays fixed.

  5. 5

    Removal is explicit

An owner or admin can remove a teammate from the account entirely. The owner can never be removed this way, since that would leave the account without an owner.

Owner is not just a label

The owner role is set once at account creation and locked from then on. No admin, including another admin who has full management ability elsewhere, can change the owner's role or remove them from the account.

Admin and owner share the same reach

For nearly every account-level action, inviting teammates, changing roles, removing members, updating branding, managing API keys, reviewing connected OAuth and MCP apps, and starting a billing checkout, admin and owner are treated the same. The distinction that matters day to day is admin versus member, not admin versus owner.

Member access is the working default

A member can do the actual hiring work, review candidates, move pipeline stages, run interviews, without ever seeing the settings screens that could change how the account itself is configured or billed. That keeps a growing team from needing every recruiter to also be trusted with billing access.

Invite conflicts are caught, not silently ignored

Trying to invite someone whose email is already tied to a membership on that account fails with a clear conflict error rather than quietly creating a duplicate or overwriting their existing role. Changing an existing teammate's role is the separate, explicit action for that case.

Who it's for

Who this is for

This is for any hiring team bigger than one person, where a recruiter needs day-to-day access to the pipeline without also holding the keys to billing, branding, API keys, or the team roster, and where account owners want a clean way to add or remove access as the team changes.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between an admin and a member?

Admin can invite and remove teammates, change roles, update company settings and branding, manage API keys and connected apps, and handle billing. Member works the day-to-day pipeline, candidates, jobs, and interviews, without access to those account-level settings.

Can the account owner's role be changed?

No. The owner is set automatically for whoever creates the employer account, and that role can never be reassigned or removed by anyone, including other admins.

What happens if I invite someone who's already a team member?

The invite is rejected. Inviting an email address that's already a member of the account returns a conflict error rather than creating a second membership.

Who can remove a team member?

Only the owner or an admin can remove a teammate. A member cannot remove anyone, and the owner can never be removed by anyone, including another admin.
