What the library holds and how you use it
Ask what's in your library and the agent calls list_my_resumes: every curated document, its label, the job it was built for if any, its status, and the formats available, alongside your master resume for comparison. Ask to work on one and it calls get_resume_file, pulling that specific document, the Original, or the master, into the working session so it can actually be edited rather than just described.
Finished changes save back with save_resume_to_library, which creates a new library entry or updates one you're actively iterating on, and asks your approval either way. You can rename a document later so the library stays easy to scan through, something clearer than a generic filename, and delete drafts you no longer need.
Two things stay off-limits no matter what you ask: the Original can't be renamed away from its label or deleted, and a document already attached to a submitted application can't be deleted either, since that would break the record of what you actually applied with.
Finding the right version
A few weeks after curating resumes for two different roles, you ask: "which of my resumes should I use for the Acme data analyst role?" The agent calls list_my_resumes and sees an entry specifically labeled for a similar analyst posting from a different company.
It tells you that one exists, what it emphasizes, and suggests either reusing it as-is or pulling it into the workspace to adjust a few lines for Acme specifically rather than starting over.
You ask it to update that draft instead of building a new one. It calls get_resume_file to bring the existing document back into the workspace, makes the changes you asked for, and saves the result with save_resume_to_library, showing you an approval card that names exactly which document is being updated before anything is written.
Your Original from months ago is untouched through all of this, still sitting in the library exactly as first uploaded.

What stays protected
Reading the library, listing what's there or pulling a document into the workspace, doesn't need approval, since nothing changes. Every write does: saving a new or updated document, renaming one, or deleting one each show an approval card naming the specific document before anything happens, and a card for a save explicitly notes that your master resume is not being changed by that action.
Two protections hold regardless of what you or the agent tries to do. The Original, your very first uploaded resume, can never be overwritten, renamed away from its label, or deleted, by design, not by policy that could be argued around. And a document already attached to a submitted application can't be deleted either, since employers and your own history depend on that record staying intact.
Managing the library is free, the same as the rest of the agent, no subscription required.
