# Personal interview analytics

Personal analytics compares a candidate's interview scores against the platform average, broken down by each of the five scoring dimensions, so a candidate can see not just their own trend but where they actually stand next to everyone else practicing on Intervieux.

A single interview report says how one session went. Analytics is where those sessions add up into something a candidate can read as a pattern: which dimension is genuinely strong, which one lags behind the average, and whether either is moving. It's the difference between knowing a score and understanding what it means relative to everyone else practicing on the same platform.

## What it is

Analytics pulls together every scored interview a candidate has taken and compares it two ways: against their own past sessions, to show a trend, and against the platform average, to show where they actually stand relative to everyone else using Intervieux. The comparison runs per dimension, Communication, Technical, Behavioral, Cultural Fit, and Overall, so a candidate whose Overall score looks steady might still see their Technical dimension trailing the platform average while their Communication dimension runs ahead of it. Neither comparison replaces the other. A trend by itself can look like progress that's actually just catching up to where the average already sits.

## How it works

1. **Take interviews across different types** — Every scored session, whichever of the seven interview types it was, contributes data to a candidate's analytics.
2. **Scores roll up by dimension** — Each of the five scoring dimensions gets tracked on its own, not blended into a single combined figure.
3. **Platform average sits alongside personal scores** — Every dimension shows a candidate's own number next to the average across everyone using Intervieux.
4. **Trends build as sessions add up** — More completed interviews add more points to the trend line for each dimension.
5. **Read the comparison, not just the score** — A candidate can see whether a dimension is above or below average and whether that gap is closing or widening.

## Personal trend and platform comparison, together

Most score tracking shows one or the other: a candidate's own history, or how they measure up against others. Analytics on Intervieux shows both in the same view, so a rising personal trend that's still below the platform average reads differently than the same rising trend already above it.

## Per-dimension, not just Overall

A candidate could have a fine Overall score while one specific dimension quietly sits well below average. Because analytics breaks scores out by dimension rather than reporting one blended number, that kind of gap is visible instead of hidden inside an average that looks fine on the surface.

## Built from real interviews, not a self-assessment

The numbers behind analytics come from actual scored sessions, each with the same five-dimension scoring, calibration, and penalty system applied to every Intervieux interview. Nothing in the comparison is self-reported.

## Where achievements fit in

Analytics and achievements draw from the same underlying interview history but answer different questions. Analytics shows the numbers and how they compare. Achievements marks specific milestones reached along the way, like scoring 90% or higher on a session, a separate feature built on the same data.

## Why the platform average matters more than it sounds

A candidate practicing in isolation has no way to know if a 7 out of 10 on Communication is actually strong or just middling. The platform average gives that number context it wouldn't otherwise have, drawn from real scored sessions across everyone using Intervieux rather than a fixed benchmark set once and never revisited.

## Who it's for

Personal analytics is for candidates who've taken enough interviews to want more than a single report, someone who wants to know if their Technical dimension is actually behind or just felt that way in one rough session. It's most useful once a candidate has practiced across a few different interview types and has real data to compare, rather than trying to draw a conclusion from a single session that could have been an off day.

## Frequently asked questions

### What does personal analytics compare me against?

It compares a candidate's own scores over time and against the platform average across everyone using Intervieux, broken down by each of the five scoring dimensions.

### Does analytics show more than my Overall score?

Yes. Scores are broken out per dimension, Communication, Technical, Behavioral, Cultural Fit, and Overall, so a gap in one specific area doesn't get hidden inside a blended average.

### How many interviews do I need before analytics is useful?

Analytics builds as sessions add up. A single interview gives one data point; the trend and comparison become more meaningful once a candidate has taken interviews across a few sessions.

### Is personal analytics the same as achievements?

No. Analytics shows scores and comparisons over time. Achievements marks specific milestones, like a high-scoring session, and is a separate feature built on the same interview history.

### Does a low score on one dimension pull down my Overall score in analytics?

Analytics tracks the five dimensions separately rather than blending them into one figure, so a weak Technical dimension shows up on its own rather than being masked inside an average with Overall.
