# Branded email center

Intervieux's email center lets employers send candidate emails from reusable branded templates or AI-composed one-off messages, with a render preview before sending and per-message tracking of opens and link clicks after.

A recruiter emailing candidates out of a personal inbox loses the thread the moment that email leaves. There's no record of whether an offer letter was even opened, no branded consistency between one recruiter's messages and another's, and no way to stop emailing someone who unsubscribed last month. The email center keeps that history on the candidate record instead.

## What it does

The email center stores reusable templates per employer, each with a subject line, an HTML body, and an optional plain-text fallback, all of which can reference placeholder fields like a candidate's name or job title using double-brace syntax. Templates render inside a branded shell built from the employer's own logo and accent color, so a rejection sent through the email center looks like it came from that company, not from Intervieux. For anything a template doesn't cover, a one-off message can be composed by the AI agent, uploaded from existing copy, or written by hand, tagged as an offer, rejection, contract, or general category.

## How it works

1. **Build or reuse a template** — Set up a subject, HTML body, and optional text version once, with placeholder fields for anything that changes per candidate. Templates persist for reuse across every future job, not just the one they were written for.
2. **Compose the send** — Pick a template and fill in the variables, or start from an AI-composed draft for a one-off message, capped at 20 recipients and 5 attachments per send.
3. **Preview before it goes out** — The render-preview endpoint shows the rendered subject and body exactly as a recipient will see it, catching a missing placeholder or a broken variable before the message leaves the building.
4. **Suppression is checked automatically** — Every recipient list is checked against the suppression list twice, once when the send is assembled and again at the moment it actually goes out, so a candidate who opted out never gets caught by a stale snapshot.
5. **Track what happens after it sends** — Each message carries an invisible open pixel and rewritten click-through links, so the sender can see whether a candidate opened the email and whether they clicked anything inside it.

## Branding is per employer, not per message

The logo header, accent color, and footer come from the employer's own account settings and apply automatically to every template render. A recruiter writing a new template doesn't rebuild the branded shell each time, they write the content and the shell wraps around it.

## Placeholders keep templates reusable

A template written with {{candidate_name}} and {{job_title}} works for every candidate and every job it's sent against, rather than needing a new template for each opening. Missing or empty placeholder values surface before send rather than shipping a broken merge field to a candidate's inbox.

## Suppression protects against silent damage

A recipient list is never quietly trimmed. Suppressed addresses are labeled suppressed in the send record, so a recruiter can see who was excluded and why, rather than wondering why a candidate never replied to a message that was never sent.

## Open and click data lives on the candidate

Because tracking runs per message rather than per campaign, a recruiter checking a single candidate's history can see exactly which of the emails sent to that person were opened, which links inside them were clicked, and when.

## Who this is for

This is for a hiring team sending offers, rejections, or scheduling follow-ups directly out of Intervieux instead of a personal inbox, and for anyone who wants confirmation that a candidate actually saw a time-sensitive message like an offer or a signing link, not just that it left the outbox.

## Frequently asked questions

### Can I see if a candidate opened an email I sent?

Yes. Every message sent through the email center carries an open-tracking pixel and click-tracking on any links inside it, so the sender can see per message whether it was opened and whether a link inside it was clicked.

### What counts as a branded template versus a one-off email?

A template is a reusable subject, HTML body, and optional text version with placeholder fields, meant to be sent repeatedly across candidates and jobs. A one-off email is composed for a single send, whether AI-drafted, uploaded, or written by hand, and tagged as an offer, rejection, contract, or general message.

### How does the suppression list work?

Recipients are checked against the suppression list when a send is assembled and again right before it actually goes out. A suppressed address is labeled as suppressed rather than removed silently, so a recruiter can see who was excluded.

### Can I preview an email before sending it?

Yes. A render-preview endpoint shows the fully rendered subject and body, with placeholder values filled in, before the message is sent to any candidate.
